This week’s Share Your Shit Friday seems to be themed around preschoolers (these posts weren’t formally #SYSF posts, but I thought the recommendations might be helpful to others in our reading list that aren’t on Facebook.) If you can add to the recommendations, or if you have a question of your own to throw to our community, please reply to this email (if reading via the newsletter) or use the contact for on the bottom of this post if using your browser to view.
Leah writes that her little girl has just turned four years old. The family is looking into play schools, and asked the group for recommendations.
In response, Roisin writes:
Active kids Academy is amazing! Its run by the same ppl who run sport ball. They keep the kids nice and active while learning! So fun! If you email them they will let you sit on a class to experience it
Lindsey agrees:
(My child) goes to Active Kids Academy and we absolutely love it there. Teacher Mark taught both my kids and he is amazing!
And Michelle contributes:
We were late registering our girls limiting our options but Bless Preschool had openings, turned out to be a great program and not too expensive. We are not Lutheran and don’t go to church so it was a nice way for them to get some exposure to religion.
Outside of academia, Jocelyn asks for recommendations regarding immediate available day homes or day care centres.
Katie writes:
I recommended my friend Lisa’s day home in our Babysitter Directory. She’s amazing and located in Emerald Hills. Not sure if she has an opening right now but you could call her and ask! (For password to the Babysitter’s Directory, please contact SCFPSA using the contact form or by replying to the newsletter email).
Kari writes:
We have the kids at County Place Early Learning and Care Centre, we love it there
And Angela suggests:
Are you on the Sherwood Park Dayhomes page? You could try posting there. Maybe someone could offer drop ins until you find something permanent.
