On Sunday, December 9th, SCFPSA members Shelley Montemurro and Michelle Brady are hosting a “Build Your Own Grinch Tree” event in order to raise money for our local women’s shelter.
From the Facebook Event Page:
Let’s get together and do awesome Christmasy things together, this event is one of my favorites.
In support of A Safe Place (the Women’s Shelter), proceeds from the event will go towards helping women and their families get back to a peaceful place.Come and design, build and enjoy your own Grinch Tree. Choose the colors and textures and decorations you want. Make it “you”. All pieces and greens will be supplied. You just need to show up and have fun!
$40 to build a tree. $20 if you have a little one that would like to build one as well. These make awesome teacher gifts or grandparent gifts. They are live greens, so as long as you keep them watered, they will definitely last through Christmas!
Event is capped at 25 people (plus littles). Your spot is secured once your payment is received as I need to buy all of the supplies beforehand. You can pay cash or etransfer to: shelleymontemurro (at) gmail (dot) co

Calling all Business Owners, Bakers, Crafters, and Artists!
A small SCFP market will also be held during this event. Any SCFP Members or Spouses with businesses are welcome to set up a vendor table at Little Sweatshop (#180, 2301 Premier Way, Sherwood Park) for participants to shop and craft. Please let Shelley know if you’d like to set up a table by contacting her at the above address. Those who chose not to make a tree are still invited to shop our SCFPSA vendors and gather in friendship!
*If your business is not “table-vendor friendly,” please feel free to contribute business cards! The members of our Association have expressed their desire to support one another in our ventures.
