SCFP Spouse Michelle has taken the lead on organizing a free CPR class for SCFP Spouses. While our grown-up classes are happening, another room will be booked for our fire kids to take a course on 911, Fire Safety, or Basic First Aid Training (details to come).
The adult class will be taught by Laura from SCFD Community Safety and Education. Michelle brought this idea to SCFPSA’s last quarterly meeting, and many of us were interested after we joked how our children won’t even let us band-aid them when there’s a more competent medic in the house, or about how as long as our first responder is around, the safety of everyone at home is covered… except for his! Probably (nurses and first responder and physician spouses not included), many of us are in the same boat when it comes to a lapse in basic first aid and CPR training. Let’s change that together and have some fun!
This training will not result in certification, but it will teach valuable skills to adults and kids alike. Please register as soon as possible using the form below.
