A retired 20+ year RCMP Officer in Edmonton, Gary Benoit now serves the First Responder Community by providing coaching in mental health & wellness and achieving life balance alongside his wife, Colette, through their creation, the Front Line Resiliency Project. The couple has asked if we could spare 15 minutes at our upcoming meeting for them to introduce themselves and an upcoming seminar they are hosting in March. In October, they are also hosting a Front Line Resiliency Gala at the Shaw Conference Centre, and would like to give us some information on that as well. Their introduction will include time for a Q&A from our members. Check out their website to learn more.
Colette and Gary come to us with high recommendations from one of SCES Communications and Marketing Specialist’s for Emergency Services. Also the spouse of a First Responder, and a member of Edmonton Police Wive’s Association, she has attended the Benoit’s programs herself, and has drawn much support and wisdom from their shared experiences.
The SCFP Spouse Association will be meeting on Sunday, January 20th, at 4pm in Station Six. Childcare will be available in the smaller training room (adjacent to our meeting room), but must be confirmed as needed prior to the meeting. Visit this post for more information on meeting topics (including the planning of our department’s Spring Family event).
