SCFP Spouse Mia has organized the opportunity for SCFP Spouse Association to try a Yin class through Sherwood Park’s Modo Yoga as a private group. Depending on how many sign up for the class, a special price is available (so if you’re into this, convince a SCFPSA friend to join you and we all win!)

I’ve talked to the owner of Modo to organize a private Yin yoga class for the spouses. My purpose was for this to introduce and create a time and space for healing for our group. I’ve also chosen an instructor who would be happy to teach us. It will be from 3-4 on Sunday, October 6.
Yin is a special type of yoga (and my personal favourite because you don’t even have to stand up (ha!). The official class description is in the image above. It’s very gentle, slow moving, takes place in the dark (but for the light of a nearby fire), and is both a great way for people who have little experience to give it a try, and for those with experience to deepen their practice (if you are the kind of person who often feels a little stiff and achy or can never get enough quiet, introspective ‘me time,’ this is the practice for you!). Attached is the studio’s description. To register, please email Mia at [email protected] as soon as possible so we can firm up price information.
PS – Not too flexible? Have no fear; you won’t be alone! SCFP Spouse (and yoga event attendee) Michelle writes:
