Sisters & Brothers of 2461,
The County will be offering Will and Estate Planning Sessions specifically for Emergency Services members. We have long said that County offered sessions such as this are not easy for shift workers to attend. They have listened and answered by offering 4 different session that coincide on the evening of each platoon’s day shift. The thought being that if it is scheduled during a Plt’s tour, we may have a better turn out than asking members to come in on days off. We need at least 20 participants per session for each session to run. Spouses are strongly encouraged to attend!
Wills and Estate Planning Sessions at Station 6
Plt 1 – Friday November 30: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Plt 3 – Monday December 3: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Plt 4 – Wednesday December 5: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Plt 2 – Friday December 7: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
The following is a message from The County regarding these sessions:
Facilitated by Doris Bonora, a lawyer specializing in the field of wills and estates, this workshop will provide you with a solid foundation for understanding the intricacies and challenges of creating a will which will withstand legal challenges, while achieving the objects you desire for your heirs. Will writing and estate planning needs to start young and be re-evaluated with every life change. Don’t put it off any longer – come join us!Spouses/partners are welcome to join you, but please indicate 2 people when registering. Please register through your shop steward by November 19th. We require a minimum of 20 people to register for each session to proceed. Please note that this is unpaid time.
Should you and your spouse not be able to attend on your Plt’s assigned session, confirm which one you can attend with your Steward. Day staffers and Comms, please notify your Steward which session you will be attending.
I am glad The County has scheduled these sessions for us and encourage every member to attend.
Fraternally,
Elliot Davis
