Katie (me!) sends out an open invite for the 31st:
Happy long weekend everyone! My #SYSF is an open invite to our annual Halloween (/Chloe’s Bday) Party on the 31st. This is an all-ages open door party and all are welcome regardless of parenting status (it doesn’t matter whether or not you bring a kid – the only rule is that *all* attendees must dress-up). This is year eight for us and we’ve got it down to an art: The party is come-when-you-can, but doors open at 5pm and bday cake cutting will happen just after 6. Lots of food so don’t worry about supper but BYOB if you’re indulging. Those under the age of 18 (and brave enough) will follow a backyard lantern trail to the Witch of Appleton Crescent’s (heated) lair for scary stories about 6:30-ish and we’ll hit the streets trick or treating around 7:15. Folks are welcome to meet back at the house afterwards when the kids usually head downstairs for a Halloween movie and sugar overdose (thinking, “No way, Katie. I’ve met your dog and this sounds like total chaos?” Have no fear – we’re boarding her at Mutt Heads Pet Services Ltd.) The more the merrier, just let me know if you plan on attending so we know how much food to put out!
A Spouse has anonymously asked if anyone in our group has recommendations for local furniture movers (those that give discounts to IAFF members would be a bonus). If you know of someone, please reply to this email.

The Scrunchie Sisters (my 9 and 8 year old daughters) are crushing it with their lip business, making scrunchies.
They are taking orders for Christmas……lots of cool shiny and fancy fabrics!
So cheap! They make awesome stocking stuffers, teacher or coach gifts, team gifts, friendship gifts…..or just because!!!
